Almond Butter & Jelly
- 8 Original Crisps
- 2 tbsp. natural almond butter (or nut butter of your choice)
- 2 tbsp. jam, preserves or jelly
Place one crisp on a smooth, flat surface such as a cutting board or countertop. Using a butter knife, gently spread the crisp with almond butter. Spread another crisp with your favorite jam, preserve or jelly. Place the two halves of your fantastic little sandwich together and enjoy immediately! Repeat as necessary.
Almond butter makes a delicious “grown-up” sandwich but any nut butter, including peanut, hazelnut or cashew, would also be wonderful. When using natural nut butters with no hydrogenated oils, stir well before using to reblend the natural oils.
Thicker jams and preserves will work best here and make less of a mess…although the mess is half the fun! Look for all-fruit spreads with no high-fructose
34° Original Crisps make the most classic pairing, but any of 34° delicious varieties would work…try Sesame for a little extra nuttiness or Cracked Pepper for a nice sharp bite!
Serves 2 as a light snack, or perhaps 1 if you’re really hungry! Enjoy with a glass of ice-cold milk.
